Business Development Manager

This new position offers an opportunity for the successful candidate to create his/her own role within the company and to have a direct impact on the business. Rewards and remuneration will follow success.

The ideal candidate must have:
 
Minimum of 5 years commercial experience with substantial client contact
 
First-hand experience of the retail/leisure/FMCG industries
 
Demonstrable success in securing new and repeat business
 
The desire to be rewarded on results
 
A valid driving licence
 
Current UK or EU work permit (more information here)

Direct experience of working in both large and small firms would be advantageous with an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by each. This is a highly autonomous role and the ideal candidate will be an ambitious, focused self-starter with a proven track record of achievement.

The successful candidate will:
 
Produce and implement a comprehensive business development plan
 
Initiate contacts with potential new clients
 
Exploit business development opportunities within existing client-base
 
Prepare winning proposals and tender documents
 
Manage extensive in-house contacts database
 
Provide a critical link between clients and project team activities
 
Be an active member of the Allegra management team, contributing to business and organisational development
